Sadly, I don't have a story board to go with these pictures, so I'll just tell a brief story then post the pictures. Matt Nathanson peformed today at the Smyrna Market Village...I know I know...Smyrna? Where's Smyrna and why would I want to go there. Let me answer that one for you. Because Matt Nathanson played a show there. Did I mention it was a free show? (Thank you Dave FM.) Well, Matt was as great as ever. The show was a little more PG rated than his other shows (thanks you stupid parents who can't get a baby-sitter for the afternoon), but it was still fun nonetheless. It was a good time, especially since I had Jennifer and my friend Lindsey there to experienc eMatt for the first time. They thought he was great even at a toned down level.

You lucky dog! I did get your text today but I was so confused. I didn't know if you had run into him in one of your many celeb sightings or what? How did you find out about this little outing, on the radio? I'm so glad sister got to experience a little Mr. Mattie. Great pics. Let's talk soon, I booked my tix to China today! Sure you don't want to go to the Olympics??
I'm on a matt nathanson email list saying that he was playing the "acoustic sunset" show for Dave FM. He was supposed to be opening for lifehouse Saturday night, but d/t the tornado hitting downtown, the Tabernacle is under renovation for a while. I guess he'd already signed up to do this show by the time it got cancelled. My luck!
I still can't believe you're going to China! That's nuts! What are the dates you're going? Will you be there for the whole Olympic stint? Or just a part of it? And as much as I would love to go, a trip to China isn't exactly in the budget these days considering I basically took a huge paycut. Nice, huh?
