i have to move

So, I'm spending the afternoon cleaning (oops, I mean) watching Real Housewives of Atlanta and it has officially dawned on me that I must leave this city. I cannot live in a city where the "elite society" is in reality trailer trash. No lie. When I tell you that the low rent white chick spelled cat - K-A-T, I almost fell out of my chair. Oh and the same woman wants to sing. You judge for yourself...

As my sister would say, "the lambs are screaming"....

This show makes me weep for the city of Atlanta. Weep I say.

Remember when?

Remember when Saturday Night Live used to be funny?

Yeah, me neither.

It's Back...

One of my favorite dramas is back on the air. In its "mid-season" slot, Medium is finally back and in full effect. This might be one of THE most underrated shows on television...
I love it....love it...love it.
Tonight's premiere episode was just as disturbing as all the rest. It had everything from creepy clowns to twisted versions of songs from The Sound of Music. Yeah, I'm gonna have nightmares. Man I love this show.
Welcome back Allison Dubois...
welcome back.
On a completely different note....the Golden Globes have been canceled. Yeap. Canceled. You know what I have to say about that? BOO. My two cents...I'm so sick of this Hollywood bs. These people are now affecting my life. It's ridiculous. Belly up to the table...lay out what you want...and settle it. I've seen peace talks resolved faster than this.

new fall shows

So I haven't said anything about the new fall season as of yet. I have a few favorites....actually quite a few. That list includes both old favorites as well as new ones. I won't go into great detail, but here's a quick run down of the shows that you should be watching....if you're not...
Let's start on Monday:

Chuck

Okay, so it started out that the whole reason I watched this show was because I actually saw Zachary Levi, Chuck, in NYC back in May. Aside from the fact that in person he is flawlessly gorgeous, this show is actually very sweet. His character is completely endearing and well, his smile just sucks you in.

Next is- drum roll please....Heroes...

Let me start by prefacing this with .... yes it's seen abysmal ratings so far this season, but that doesn't mean the show is without it's shining moments. Maybe I'm one of a few true...loyal fans, but I still adore this show and have faith that it will pull through the difficult times a stronger more revered program. I guess barring the writers' strike, only time will tell.

How I Met Your Mother

This show is truly a diamond in the rough. The ensemble cast is stellar and Neil Patrick Harris might be the biggest surprise success story actor of our generation. As Barney, the womanizing best friend, he is lovable, huggable, and downright detestable. God bless Barney.

The Big Bang Theory...yes, it's totally cliche...nerd loves hot girl neighbor. Somehow, it totally works. And now, I'm completely hooked.

Life...oh boy....how I love this show!!! Two words: Damian Lewis.

Hotel Babylon (which is on BBC America and if I have not mentioned is hot!!!)

This was a book...a dirty little read turned dirty little tv show. Two thumbs up.

The usual Office...Scrubs...and this year's new favorite....30 Rock...

This may be THE funniest show on all of television. What it lacks on publicity, it makes up for in its jokes. Alec Baldwin, aside from his irritating personal life, has the best comedic timing of anyone currently on a 30 minute primetime comedy. If you haven't sat down to watch this show, then you haven't laughed enough this year. Watch it. Trust me. You won't be disappointed.

Sticking with Thursday nights....add Ugly Betty to the list. I cannot put my finger on what it is about this show, but I love it. I tivo the hell out of it and savor it like a fine wine.....god it is that good.

And finally, Friday Night Lights. This may be one of those few shows that comes along where the critics love it, viewers adore it, and it gets cancelled before you know it. It's flawless, it's fierce, and it just may be the best show you aren't watching. If you want to feel like good things can happen to kids in high school (even though they are still dealing with the craziest crap you've ever heard), then this is the show for you. Not to mention the fact that the cast is hands down the best looking cast currently on any one tv show at the moment. Seriously, study this picture and find one flaw with it. Yeap, not happening, right? That's what I thought.

So there you have it....I watch too much television...don't read enough....and am a happy happy girl because of it. Go my friends....watch these fine shows. Soak it in. Laugh, cry, enjoy.

I want a full report in the morning.

Southpark - for a better tomorrow

I'll give you the back story on this later, but I couldn't resist. When you have about 23 minutes to sit down and relax, you've got to watch this episode of Southpark. It's freaking hysterical. Oh, and of course there is (as always)a moral to this episode. Enjoy.

And remember...in the words of P Diddy - "VOTE OR DIE"

scrubs pt 2

I think it's safe to say that I'm a fan of Scrubs. Okay, maybe it's more like obsessed with Scrubs...whatever...
Last night was "scrubs: The Musical" and this was one of the highlights of the show-
I hope you laugh even half as much as I did...

Remember - it's guy love between two guys...

*scrubs*

I love Scrubs. I love everything about Scrubs. Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison...and everyone else on the show. But the thing I love the most is the incredible selection of music they play each and every episode. Tonight was no exception as they played my dear sweet Matt Nathanson. If you're not familiar with him, you should be..This is a rough video, but it's good nonetheless.

This guy is just a really solid songwriter with incredible lyrics.

nip / tuck

as i watched another episode of the show nip/tuck tonight, i realized that there truly is something profoundly wrong with that show. tonight's episode had a woman kill a homeless man only because she needed his organs to sell on the black market. a little far fetched? of course. a little disturbing? absolutely. yet, i found two things more puzzling and disturbing than that scene:
1. julian mcmahon's eyebrows,
and
2. alanis morrisette (in general)
random, i know...but i hate well groomed eyebrows on men...and i despise alanis morrisette even more. so to say this episode was painful would be an understatement.
Ryan Reynolds...I just can't figure you out...

Creature Comforts

So Lauren S. is working on a new show for CBS....
Here is a sampling of it on youtube. Check it out. If you like Wallace and Grommit, this is definitely for you.
And hey, watching it will inevitably help Lauren with her job!

a season wasted

I hate to be rude, but I just wasted an entire season of Project Runway to find out the Jeffrey Sebelia was the winner. Come on Nina. Are you freaking kidding me? Hello?? Have you ever heard of a thing called taste, style, class? Clearly not. I seem to remember that outfit you wore a few episodes ago and well, although you're completely fabulously skinny, you are a bit too old to be sporting a heel and Bermuda short combo. Besides, you looked stupid. Whatever. I'm annoyed to say the least. I'm not saying Michael Knight had the best showing, but the guy's ability to create, sew, hem, etc..is pretty much flawless.

<<---- This is hot. Okay, so the guy didn't win. Fine, I can live with that because honestly, the kid has one helluva career ahead of him. But to say that he lost to Jeffrey is an insult. I mean the tattooed wonder designed this gem--->>

A I bitter, never. Disappointed, always.

And just for good measure, here are some other designs by the other two finalists:
this fabulous design is by Laura
Bennett..

And this cool as hell design is by ULI! PS. I would wear this outfit tomorrow!

Well, Season 3 is officially over...fashion withdrawal will commence.

Finale ! ! ! !

Oh my goodness!!! T-minus 24 hours until the Season Finale of Project Runway...and yes, I am sitting on pins and needles!!!

I'm hoping with all hope that Michael Knight (from Atlanta) takes it all, but as it stands, his final collection might not make the cut. (No pun intended.) If Jeffrey wins, I will cry. Yes, I will be glued to the set. Expect a full report at 1101p tomorrow night.

Good luck Michael!!!

Iron Chef..Atlanta??

Just recently, Iron Chef America came to our great city to find a fierce competitor for one of the many Iron Chefs. Well, it was just announced that Chef Linton Hopkins of Restaurant Eugene won the local battle. His competition included chefs Gerry Klaskala of Aria, Annie Quatrano of Bacchanalia, and Kevin Rathbun of Rathbun's. (Yes, the one and only Kevin Rathbun). Well, I'm sure Linton is one great chef, but sadly, that's the only restaurant out of the entire group I have never been to nor heard anything about. Apparently, Restaurant Eugene is Atlanta's best kept secret. Who knew?Taping is in October with probable air time in February. Congratulations to Linton...make us all proud..
**If you're not sure who the picture above is of...that would be Iron Chef himself, Bobby Flay...grillmaster...Boy Meets Grill host...and the hot chick on his arm is his wife, Stephanie March. (But for you TV junkies like me, you may know her best as ADA Alexandra Cabot from Law and Order:SVU.) (Everyone agrees that I totally need a life, right?)
