new fall shows
Let's start on Monday:
Chuck
Okay, so it started out that the whole reason I watched this show was because I actually saw Zachary Levi, Chuck, in NYC back in May. Aside from the fact that in person he is flawlessly gorgeous, this show is actually very sweet. His character is completely endearing and well, his smile just sucks you in.Let me start by prefacing this with .... yes it's seen abysmal ratings so far this season, but that doesn't mean the show is without it's shining moments. Maybe I'm one of a few true...loyal fans, but I still adore this show and have faith that it will pull through the difficult times a stronger more revered program. I guess barring the writers' strike, only time will tell.

This show is truly a diamond in the rough. The ensemble cast is stellar and Neil Patrick Harris might be the biggest surprise success story actor of our generation. As Barney, the womanizing best friend, he is lovable, huggable, and downright detestable. God bless Barney.
This was a book...a dirty little read turned dirty little tv show. Two thumbs up.
The usual Office...Scrubs...and this year's new favorite....30 Rock...

This may be THE funniest show on all of television. What it lacks on publicity, it makes up for in its jokes. Alec Baldwin, aside from his irritating personal life, has the best comedic timing of anyone currently on a 30 minute primetime comedy. If you haven't sat down to watch this show, then you haven't laughed enough this year. Watch it. Trust me. You won't be disappointed.
Sticking with Thursday nights....add Ugly Betty to the list. I cannot put my finger on what it is about this show, but I love it. I tivo the hell out of it and savor it like a fine wine.....god it is that good.

And finally, Friday Night Lights. This may be one of those few shows that comes along where the critics love it, viewers adore it, and it gets cancelled before you know it. It's flawless, it's fierce, and it just may be the best show you aren't watching. If you want to feel like good things can happen to kids in high school (even though they are still dealing with the craziest crap you've ever heard), then this is the show for you. Not to mention the fact that the cast is hands down the best looking cast currently on any one tv show at the moment. Seriously, study this picture and find one flaw with it. Yeap, not happening, right? That's what I thought.
So there you have it....I watch too much television...don't read enough....and am a happy happy girl because of it. Go my friends....watch these fine shows. Soak it in. Laugh, cry, enjoy.
I want a full report in the morning.

nip / tuck

as i watched another episode of the show nip/tuck tonight, i realized that there truly is something profoundly wrong with that show. tonight's episode had a woman kill a homeless man only because she needed his organs to sell on the black market. a little far fetched? of course. a little disturbing? absolutely. yet, i found two things more puzzling and disturbing than that scene:
1. julian mcmahon's eyebrows,
and
2. alanis morrisette (in general)
random, i know...but i hate well groomed eyebrows on men...and i despise alanis morrisette even more. so to say this episode was painful would be an understatement.
Ryan Reynolds...I just can't figure you out...

a season wasted

<<---- This is hot. Okay, so the guy didn't win. Fine, I can live with that because honestly, the kid has one helluva career ahead of him. But to say that he lost to Jeffrey is an insult. I mean the tattooed wonder designed this gem--->>

A I bitter, never. Disappointed, always.
And just for good measure, here are some other designs by the other two finalists:

this fabulous design is by Laura
Bennett..
And this cool as hell design is by ULI! PS. I would wear this outfit tomorrow!

Well, Season 3 is officially over...fashion withdrawal will commence.

Finale ! ! ! !
I'm hoping with all hope that Michael Knight (from Atlanta) takes it all, but as it stands, his final collection might not make the cut. (No pun intended.) If Jeffrey wins, I will cry. Yes, I will be glued to the set. Expect a full report at 1101p tomorrow night. Good luck Michael!!!

Iron Chef..Atlanta??
Just recently, Iron Chef America came to our great city to find a fierce competitor for one of the many Iron Chefs. Well, it was just announced that Chef Linton Hopkins of Restaurant Eugene won the local battle. His competition included chefs Gerry Klaskala of Aria, Annie Quatrano of Bacchanalia, and Kevin Rathbun of Rathbun's. (Yes, the one and only Kevin Rathbun). Well, I'm sure Linton is one great chef, but sadly, that's the only restaurant out of the entire group I have never been to nor heard anything about. Apparently, Restaurant Eugene is Atlanta's best kept secret. Who knew?Taping is in October with probable air time in February. Congratulations to Linton...make us all proud..
