Straight out of the camera

I finally took my actual film in to Wolf Camera to be transferred over to a disc. These pictures have been waiting to be developed ever since the big Snow Storm of '09 took place. Yeap a whole two weeks. and it's been killing me! Usually I'm not too terribly impressed by the quality of photos I've taken, but this time, I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. Lately, I've been snapping away on our new digital camera. This would be it. Or something similar to it:

But for the big snow day, I opted to go old school and use my little old slr. Here's what came of it:

Justice. How pensive does he look? Bet he's wondering how he can eat the snow.

Libby. She's probably thinking that she'd be more comfortable on the bed. Where it's warm.

Hold on just. a. minute. She's starting to get into this whole snow thing.
By the way, if you click on this picture you can see little Libby's teeth. My heart is melting...

The trees in our yard. Okay, our neighbor's yard.

And Justice again...anticipating the big snowflake bite!

That was a good day. The dogs had a blast and I took some fairly decent shots of the whole thing. Maybe it's time to start falling in love again with my favorite little SLR.
-k.

My sweets

I don't think I've posted any pictures of my munchkins in quite some time. So, here's just a friendly reminder of what the kids look like...

Sweet, right?

Michael Vick - to the dogs

So today was a bad day. It had nothing to do with work and everything to do with the news surrounding Michael Vick and his indictment. I've sent a couple of letters to the NFL and to the Falcons. Feel free to do the same. For your reading enjoyment:

#1 (this is on: https://community.hsus.org/campaign/US_2007_dogfighting_nfl2/forward/uxd7e74ld5jbj3
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell
280 Park Avenue
New York, NY 10017

Dear Commissioner Goodell,
Please immediately suspend Michael Vick from the NFL for his alleged involvement in dogfighting. Vick's recent indictment bya federal grand jury for crimes related to dogfighting is acertain sign that you must treat this matter seriously. Reports of extreme cruelty to dogs who didn't "perform" to the fighters' satisfaction only add to the disgrace Vick brings to the NFL.

Dogfighting is cruel and criminal, and football players must beheld accountable like everyone else. Please suspend Vick IMMEDIATELY--anything less would reflect very badly on your judgment, and on the league. I hope you and your counterparts realize the magnitude of these charges and take the appropriate actions to dismiss Michael Vick from the Atlanta Falcons and the NFL.

To whom it may concern:
As I am sure you have already received an inordinate amount of emails regarding Michael Vick, I still feel compelled to send my thoughts. The fact that you, as an organization, are going to allow this scumbag, animal abuser to continue to play after being indicted is absolutely an abomination. I am appalled that he was not fired immediately. Since Arthur Blank won't do anything to rectify this situation, I hope the Feds send this degenerate to prison for the rest of his life.

I would post a picture of MV, but I don't want to ever see that filthy scumbag's face again. I've got a couple of good ideas for what the feds can do to this dbag and his sicko buddies.

weird

i've just been going through some of our really old posts and I gotta say, we used to write so much more! it could be that mep, you and i weren't talking every couple of days like we are now. nor were we emailing all the time. and let's not forget, i don't think any of us were as busy back then. anyway, just a random thought i was having.

i wish i had some really deep thoughts to share instead of such topical material, but i don't. i think i'm just too tired lately. maybe i'll go read a little harry potter. (yes i'm 10 again.)

awe...you should see my sweet little justice right now. he's laying on the floor right beside me completely passed out. man i love that little man. wanna see a picture of him? this is what he kind of looks like right now:

i love his little brown eyebrows! alright, i'll say goodnight now. i'll post again soon with some deep thoughts ... or something.
