Isn't it ironic...

I hardly ever check this blog anymore. But last Friday night I was feeling nostalgic and wanted to watch a clip of my trip with Rob in Greece. What an awesome trip -- even though I was in the midst of a personal identity crisis -- it really helped me to clear my head and figure out what to do with this new life I had decided to live. Here's one clip where we traveled to Athens. The train part was special, I remember having this moment of peace and contentment knowing everything was going to be ok. Life, and the world as I saw it from that train window rolling past the mountains, was beautiful again. As a metaphor for life I realized that in order to live with new purpose and love, I needed my old life to breakdown. I had to disassemble years of isolation and numbness before I could rebuild a better, more true, me. Jack Johnson just put it to music.

Train to Athens

And isn't it ironic, that the first time in months that I check this blog, you had posted the very same day. We are indeed kindred spirits.
