I like the quotes. My personal favorite is one I found several years ago.. "I am patient with stupidity but not with those who are proud of it." Edith Sitwell. Usually, if I encountered such a situation.. I would just point to it on my board. The other one is an original from one of my best friends at school- David Adams- fellow history teacher. He always said, "You can kill 'em but you can't eat 'em, that's against the law." One final inspirational quote for you when times seems dreary.. "You can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit."
