Southpark - for a better tomorrow

I'll give you the back story on this later, but I couldn't resist. When you have about 23 minutes to sit down and relax, you've got to watch this episode of Southpark. It's freaking hysterical. Oh, and of course there is (as always)a moral to this episode. Enjoy.
And remember...in the words of P Diddy - "VOTE OR DIE"

This guy could use some Beano..
The farting preacher... need I say more? Enjoy.
I would love to hear this guy live!

Matt Nathanson - not just an obsession.
Since you're new to the musical love of my life, Matt Nathanson, I thought I would take this time to introduce you. I'm not sure of how to do that really, so I thought I would do it by way of his website. Please check him out. You won't be disappointed. Anyway, in my quest to find out more for you, I came across this little web entry from MN. I thought you of all people would find this incredibly fantastic:
over memorial day weekend, i was involved in an amazing
3 day retreat in new orleans with a handful of incredible artists,
including emily and amy (indigo girls). it was a workshop on
activism and the arts and it culminated in a concert to benefit
Sweet Home New Orleans. in the taxi on the way to the show,
i finally spilled the beans to them both about how influential
they had been to me and they asked if i wanted to "sing michael's
(stipe... of REM) part on 'kid fears?'"...
i know you can't tell from the video, but i was having an out of body
experience. seriously. to be able to harmonize with my heroes on a song
i sang at every open mic i ever played is surreal. i was stunned.
and euphoric. i'm actually still getting over the shock.
I know, right??? Okay, I tried to check out the video, but myspace stinks right now, so I'll try to hook it up later. In the meantime, check out this little acoustic performance of the song "Gone" off the new album./ps. i think this one my be my favorite. i'm melting already.

umbrella
I hate to admit it, but I really do like this song. I couldn't tell you one other song my Rihanna. Truth be told, I really don't care what her other songs are. I just really enjoyed this one. That is, until Yahoo had a link on their home page to this...and I realized how much moore I like this: (did you catch the pun??)

Ok finally time.. I'm working!

So I've haven't started teaching, but I am in pre-planning and it's great. I am going to love this job, I already do. And my classroom is small, then again largest class is 13. And it's so cute with all its new furniture. I have already affectionately nicknamed it 'the cottage.' This pic is from the library, yes I'm arm wrapped around Athena. The pic was taken because I am going to be the first new teacher to be spotlighted on the library bulletin board. I listed my favorite book as Elizabeth Fernea's Guests of the Sheik (which is great if you haven't read it) and my quote was taken of course from American History X. You know at the end when Danny says: So I guess this is where I tell you what I learned - my conclusion, right? Well, my conclusion is: Hate is baggage. Life's too short to be pissed off all the time. It's just not worth it. Derek says it's always good to end a paper with a quote. He says someone else has already said it best. So if you can't top it, steal from them and go out strong. So I picked a guy I thought you'd like. 'We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.' Well do you know who 'that guy' was.. yes, Mr. Abe Lincoln. What a great quote, the man had a sweet way with words.
Ok, that's all from m.e.p. land.

do you remember??
Think back about 10 years ago...to a time when music was full of club beats and songs were sung by European kids.So far so good? Well, do I have a stroll down memory lane for you. And sadly, because I don't have one original bone in my body, I totally ripped this off of Perez Hilton. Luckily for me, this fella loves music. So MEP, this one's for you.
Now that you've seen that...check this out...This is the latest song from this talented little Swedish pop singer...I hope you enjoy it.
ps. I think you actually owned this original cd....didn't you??

Another one
I'm about to go out with Jennifer, and she informed me of another hilarious axe ad. So yeah, I found it, and yeah, I'm posting it. ps- Brandy Carlisle is the girl I was telling you about.
Off to the races, later.
Ok, here's my pick
I don't mean to misuse the word 'literally' but.. literally, I just saw this commercial on tv less than 5 minutes ago. It's the funniest commecial I've seen in forever, especially because how much would I love to do this in a grocery store.. or to just randomly break down in a public place. So I searched it on youtube, and apparently someone else also thinks it's just that funny. Enjoy and good night.

oh my...i'm speechless
I'll give it to you- Carrie and Jamie were really funny. ($10 says if I did that to Jennifer, the kid would jump across the table and beat the shot right out of me!) So, it's good to see such sisterly love. But since you posted a funny youtube post, I feel compelled to one up you. Oh yes, the game is on. (ps, i totally stole this from perez hilton...and yes, i am addicted.)
