Possible New House

Check it out and let me know...people still have not sold me that this house business is fun and exciting...so far it has been all tears and no smiles...something just doesn't seem right! The house is nice and we may be building soon if things line up. Give me a ring if you want all the details.

Need to get away

So...anyone want to do something fun soon...I have spring break in a couple of weeks...so far I have tickets to the aquarium and tickets to the Braves game...I am trying to come up with other fun things to do in town. I think we should all meet soon at the Buckhead Diner or something...anyone up for that? I need a vacation from things even if it is just for a couple of hours.

Job Opportunity

Hush hush...not just a clever title of a Til Tuesday song...but part of this job situation

I got a call from the Magna Mater of GCPS yesterday to offer me a lateral move to another school to head up the ESOL department. The principal used to be an AP here. I thought he HATED me and to be honest he wasn't one of my favorites...probably because I thought he hated me. We see the world very differently. So - seeing that I don't plan on sticking it out much longer I have a lot to ponder.

I don't know what to do.

If I move I would be heading up about 7 or 8 people, most of which I would have to hire since most of the department is leaving. He has requested me. I have to decide by Friday because of the transfer process and I would have to go and tell my principal and give him some darn good reasons so I don't burn any bridges. The possible new principal also made it perfectly clear that this new job would NEVER lead to a job in administration - NEVER EVER. So even in my next two years I will never get the chance to try that out. My personal life is still in upheaval...and well I LOVE MY YEARBOOK KIDS. If I move I will teach a sum total of 26 kids, have two planning periods and they are on the block so my day would be very short and pretty easy teaching and grading wise. I would basically develop the entire program from start to finish and call the shots. I really thought the guy HATED me and thought I was an IDIOT. Anyhow I just don't know what to do. Oh and the drive isn't so hot. I am just swimming in my own thoughts...any help is more than welcome and of course Travis is silent on the subject which is well...I just won't comment on that.
